Hi everybody,

Here is my improvisation on G minor blues, I'm beginner in Blues and improvising. Please let me know any comment you have about it, backtrack is in A , and I hit B once by mistake. Sorry for them. :)

This section is ok, but there is another one called Critique Corner, where when you post in there, people can comment, good or bad in what your playing.

So far, so good, I liked it and I didn't really catch the B mistake.

Nice job, Maz.    clap

Good job Mazdak,

You have the right idea and there is no better way to learn to improvise than to listen to many various blues guitarists, understand the key and progression and just do it.

Thanks for your contribution :-)

DUDE, that was AWESOME! Like half way thru, I'm turning the volume UP....

Dang, let me know when you're gonna post. I need to grab a beverage and kick back.

So who's that on the wall... I see Miles and Trane...

(personal pref here: i'd like to hear ya hang a bit on those slides... sultry like. hope you don't mind if I so "borrow" that opening run)

Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. Charlie Parker

Hi Tamlin,

Thanks a lot, the opening is yours ;) I'm practicing on a 12 bar blues and I will post new one soon :)

The pictures:

It's  Miles, and above him is John Coltrane. To the left of Coltrane is Django Reinhardt , and below the Django its Dexter Gordon.  Then the violonist is great Grappelli . :)

I just watched your vid for the 4th time, Maz.

I too like the opening run. One great thing about improv, is that one doesn't usually play the same song twice exactly the same way, unlike written sheet music. So now you can put a name to this song.  Imrpovisational Blue's.

Again I say, Good job.    clap
