This is a cute little tune that I enjoyed playing. Didn’t feel like being on camera so used footage I filmed over the fall at Stan Hywet Hall.
I normally play with my coda bow, but this tune I felt my wooden bow worked better for it. The carbon fiber plays with a certain .. brightness or harshness, not sure which, that the wooden bow just melts along in contrast.

really liked your playing and scenery.. nice through the windiw transistion.
I like making these type videos vs me playing. finding time to go locate a decent setting is the trouble there. always something

Thanks everyone, it really means a lot.
It is hard to figure out time to film videos. For a couple winters I’ve wanted to film a pretty snowfall in the woods at a local park for a tune, and have yet to have the time to do it when it snows, lol (plus need someone to go with me since it’s not safe alone).
And I do love playing so much, love this fiddle. I haven’t played much this month, my elderly dog had an emergency earlier this month and I’ve been spending more time with him so glad I was still able to churn out this tune, lol.

BEAUTIFUL - playing AND video!

THANK YOU, for letting me see this beautiful garden in Akron while I listened - it made a walk through SO MUCH FUN! Hope you get a chance to film there again, while it's in full bloom... for another tune. We've just recently had several days of the beautiful damp snow that clings to all the branches, here in Michigan - otherwise, a disappointing Winter for filming.
Like the reverb you added with GarageBand! I'm learning about & playing around with different types of reverb, right now, with my Mini Spark amp & app - as an alternative to a post-recording edit.
Väsen plays this tune slowly, also. I wonder how many of y'all realize this lovely tune is Swedish? "Johsefins Dopvals" was composed by one of Väsen's founding members, guitarist Roger Tallroth.
...hope your playing inspires a peek at the tunes & info in The Vals - how complicated can it be? Nordic Thread!

I’ll have to check out the Nordic thread. I have a lot of Swedish dna, but no traditions were handed down even though the Swedish immigrants were one of the more recent in my ancestry.
I have a couple short videos at these gardens in the summer, but I need to go take better footage this summer. I’m more of a photographer than videographer, lol.
