Le Chale Bleu (the blue shawl)
I am really drawn to the timeless quality of some of these older tunes.

Oh my gosh that was so good!  Sounds great!  I'm thinking that's what a violin supposed to sound like.

Ohh thanks GregW,  makes all the hard work worth it.  Luckily, I love this instrument so I can easily lose hours and think it's minutes.....

Thank you for these kind words which are encouraging.  I think of myself as self-taught as I never could quite afford lessons, but really, I have many teachers.  I have found so much on this site and generous teachers on utube. I remember my first tentative steps when I decided after many years of playing traditional music, with short fast bows; to embrace and attempt vibrato and it was to this site I came.  I can still visualise fiddlermans's fingers as he put all four on the strings and gently eased the first joints into that magic movement.

I watch everyone I can and learn from anywhere and everywhere,

Hope everyone plays with joy and passion today......

@pastelpainter - really nice, I enjoyed that tune (and playing) very much !  Thanks for sharing it !   Oh - and a belated welcome to the forum !

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)
