So it's been 9 weeks already I started playing and this morning, while cleaning the bathroom, I was juggling with the comments from last week video. You guys were asking where were my slurs lol. In my methods I'm not there yet but what the heck! I started humming a little air and soon I had to drop my rubber gloves and rush to the violin to try it!

I practice barely 2 hours including trying to put it on notepad finale (a big fail, but I will try again next week). Even though it's not played as well as it will be in a week I wanted to share it with you guys right away instead of waiting. I add a little slideshow for the fun of it.

So here is OH MY SLURS! I'll try to come up with the sheet music soon. gold_star (oh new emoticon!)

I loved it.  Sounded really beautiful.  I know nothing about "slurs," but I know what i like, lol.  Keep up the great work.

Excellent bit of composition, NV.  And we can definitely hear the slurs.  Very good.  Congrats.

@NoirVelours You never stop amazing us.  I can't wait to see it written out.

@suresh I was watching the video you put up, I was intrigued at how the violin is turned instead of moving the bow to change strings.

Thanks all! Slurs are new from this morning for me so I need more practice to make thempink-violin-girl sound smooth. They are a lot less hard to play when I was expecting. I guess I was anticipating them in a negative way :p

@gkeese, a slur is 2 or more notes played in a single bowing instead of changing direction each notes.

As a listener I do not particularly hear slurs or other "ornaments", but rather try to sync with the spirit of the music.  Your piece struck me as a possible dance and very European but appealing.

@suresh

I found your RARA VENU to be mesmerizing.  Maybe you can cast spells with your music smile I really am fascinated with the musical scales and general sound of the music.  How different the violin becomes !

Wow, not only is this a nice piece, but you sound really good. It really is amazing that you've only been playing 9 weeks and yet you sound like this!

cpiasminc is a better person to explain as he plays carnatic music.   To some extent the attached video answers you...

Thank you Suresh, that was a great demonstration and it made complete sense with the triangle and the way the music is played.
