I posted this video in my blog for my benefit. I am posting a link to it here to share a video with you, as I do not do many. Rather than taking up date bytes by posting this video twice, I am must linking to Mouse's Cubby Hole blog.

This is actually a difficult piece because of the bowing. My former instructor sent this to me last Spring. He said it is within my range for notes, etc., but said it won't be easy. I have figured out the shifting, although in the video I watched, the performer did not do shifting. He had open strings. For me, the shifting is easier, bowing-wise, and it introduced higher shifting for me in the G and D strings. I like the sound better, also. Another video, a better one, dod shifting, nut slightly different.

I will be continuing with the next few bats, to a natural place to stop, and play with with what I have in the video.

Really nice playing, @Mouse .  You’re drawing some very nice tone from that cello.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks @Unfretted. That was the very best I have ever done this. It is also the very best I was able to play this lovely Fiddlerman cello. I love this cello and knew that sound was in there.

@Mouse  Sounds excellent--pretty tune.  Options for shifting/playing are up to you--part of being a musician; sounds like you've made good choices smile

Thanks. I am having fun with this. It is. speed that I can handle. And, a speed that allows me to pay attention to my fingering and not racing around the fingerboard. 😁

@Mouse -

Sounds wonderful & I really enjoyed listening!

Appreciate that you shared this!

I think it's a great idea to keep a record of this in your blog, but since you mentioned 'the bowing difficulties of this piece'... you might find it beneficial to record this (one more time) with your video device tilted/positioned so your string bowing area, your RT arm & hand arm movements - are included in full view.

Thank you. This is my speed for songs. I cannot wait to start adding the next section next time.
