Here is how I sound after 2 months with the D Major key! I'm happy with my progression and I'm now ready to dive into dynamics and slightly longer songs! Sorry for the annoying birds will try to put their cage in the kitchen next time hehee. dancinbunny KindaScratchy there is a song for you. Didi, I'm still working on 100 pipers for you!

Ok, I've been playing for less than a month but if I sound anywhere close to as good as you at two months, I would be THRILLED to death!!!!!!  I still sound like poopie!!!!  Anyway, I think that you sound great.  I'm sure that you are looking for some constructive criticism but I just don't know enough yet to be able to offer any.  I can only say that I am impressed and would never have guessed that you have only been playing 2 months.

Oh, and I love you necklace!!!  LOL!  :)

Thank you for your kind words Cherie. I really like this necklace it's handmade by a latex/pvc jeweller from my city, it's supposed to be unique lol. Dunno if it's true but I was thrilled to encourage the local talent.

@Terry we say "un je ne sais quoi" lol you said "I dunno what is". Love it when you guys try some french, makes me laugh, I probably sound the same sometimes in english cheers

Very nice!

Maybe You'd like to play something with more slurs?blink I don't know if it's out of your training plan for now and You working on other things, but i think it could be interesting. =)

Well done! thumbs-up

I checked my methods, slurs are right after dynamics. I'm at lesson 8 and slurs are in lesson 11 hehe. So in a couple of weeks. In my Suzuki book 1 they appear after many songs with a Minuet after 4th finger practice. Looks like am too noobish yet to slur!roflol

Excellent, NV.  As usual.

With the birds, just tell them they need to practice their intonation more if they wish to sing along.  One of our cats will wince and shake her head when I hit a bad squeak or a wrong note.  We think she may have been a violin teacher in a past incarnation, and this is her karma for that or something.  LOL  Other times she will come over when I am playing and look very concerned, as if to say "Are you ok?  The last time I heard anyone sound like this, they were being run over by an automobile!"

dunno  Everyone is a critic, even the animals.

So far as language, I remember back in high school when a classmate of mine tried to impress a visiting female student from France by saying a phrase he had heard in the song "Lady Marmalade" which was popular at the time (yes, it was a long time ago).  I did not catch all of what was said, but apparently the funniest part of it was that he had said "poulet" instead of "voulez", since she kept laughing and saying "No, never with chickens!"  I don't think it had the effect he was hoping for.

But anyway, your playing is sounding very good, and I am glad your hand is feeling better.

Wow, Brigitte! You're doing great! Thanks for doing English Country Garden for me. I'm honored.

I can't believe how much you've progressed in a few weeks, and with an injury at that! You sound great and your bow technique looks really good.

My husband is also impressed with your progress and says that your videos are cool.

Keep up the great work. 1st-place

Now, I've got to go practice to try and keep up. violin-student

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

While watching your video all my birds started singing alone with your birds.  They must really like your playing.

Ow!  Hurt again already?

Maybe you need to get a good luck charm, NV.  4 leaf clover or rattlesnake tail or St Chris medal or gator's paw or a rabbit's foot or something.

Well, I hope you feel better soon.
