So I finally found the time to make a video with my crappy digital camera. Beware the horrible squeals that scare the cats into hiding and drive the neighbours crazy! But as you will see I'm having fun and really can't stay serious and even tries singing (oh my ears). Please give advice my friends if I can correct a few things for my second week playing the fiddle I'll be a happy woman!

Noirs, that was fun! You seem to be taking very well to the violin. I can't critique because I haven't posted a video yet, but you look very comfortable with the instrument, as far as your chin rest and your handling of the bow and left hand, not like me when I first started. Keep up the good work!

Very Good! Love that attitude! =) XD
And i like You singing . You have a good posture and i think that You feel quite comfortable with the violin =)
Only one thing botheres me right now: your left hand a bit low from the violin try to lift it up a little to make fiddle touch your hand approximately in this area :
It will help You later to play on D and G strings more comfortable =)
Also bringing the elbow under the violin will help =)
Happy to see You!~! Thank You for the video! And Happy fiddling!

@ Naska... you're a trip...
trip = travel, journey?? =)
I'm not so good in English, Fiddlestix
A trip of laughter to take us away from boring... It is hard to explain the euphemism... I think it dates back to the sixties and flower children, but I am too young and innocent to know anything about that!

Thanks for the advice Mad_Wed, I move my handle position a lot, sometimes it's like you show but sometimes my thumb goes under. I think I am still trying to find the correct spot hehee so many things to remember! I was NOT having a good posture, was sitting on my piano bench with my legs extended and crossed over the ankle, I usually play standing up but I felt lazy :p
Dionysia, 1 week is not miles ahead lol, I practice 30 min to 1h per day (but I skip days depending on how busy I am).
Finding the correct spot for the notes is HARD but I still refuse to use tape even though I know it would make playing easier.
We use trip also in québécois, like "on a trippé!" (we tripped) meaning we had lots of fun. And thanks for laughing with me on my video guys, it's fun to be a noob! In a couple years I will probably roll on the floor watching this.
