It's been a year since I started teaching myself violin, so I decided to quickly make a video to mark my progress and see shortcomings (bow hand flexibility, facial tension...). It's my first instrument and I also had to learn how to read musical notation along the way. I was rather nervous in this video and this was the first and only take, so I made some errors, but otherwise I think it's okay.

Melody is the violin portion of the instrumental half of this, as laid out in their official songbook:

That was spectacular. I don't recognize the song you played, it doesn't matter. You have great right arm control, your movement at the elbow is very nice, from your elbow to your shoulder, the movement is good, the movement is vertical, not flying all over. You have nice posture, left wrist is nice and straight, a little weak on vibrato but that's no big deal and your finger's stay close to the string's.
You're coming along very very nicely. You have a handle on becoming a really good player.

I assume you're looking for some feedback?
I like what you are doing (never heard the tune before) but you are getting a good tone. Posture, flow etc is fine. Good for just one year, too.
The vibrato is getting there, but it's a little bit uneven. Maybe isolate that and work on it for a bit?
I think you are progressing well
