That was AWESOME!!!  dancingus-4240

I'll have to record the tune(s) I've put together!  I have a fun mash-up of Battle Hymn, Yellow Rose & Jubilo that I play for kids at events!

......not to get over my fear of camera's! LOL  I always mess up when I'm in front of one! dunno  I'll try to get one uploaded by Weds!

Thanks, folks! It was a little rough because I put it together quickly last night while I had a small window of time to record and edit, but almost no time to practice. Nonetheless, it was fun to produce.

Looking forward to seeing the next contributions to the party!

Here's my submission, "Columbia the Gem of the Ocean". We used to sing it in grade school in the 1950's; later on I heard it on America's shortwave station "Voice of America" as its musical identifier ("interval signal"). Sheet music I found was in key of A but I changed it to key of D for easier playing. smile   Third day of practicing it, first take--"good enough".  LOL.   (Feel free to critique it, as if you needed my permission LOL)

Hope to see many more submissions!

Great Job Steve!

Well, I suppose it's my turn!  It's a rare EJ video! :D

You'll have to excuse my "wobbliness" and back brace.  I still have a hard time standing or walking for any period of time and it shows at times in the video.  BUT, I wanted to stand for this vid and for Independence Day!

....and the nervousness doesn't help! LOL

So here's a little Battle Hymn of The Republic with some Yellow Rose of Texas thrown in for good measure! ;-)

Here is a patriotic party submission,  despite intonation and bowing events. And I have a patriotic tie on, which must count for something.  g

Wow, everyone sounds so good! Bravo!

Since I’ve only been playing for a few weeks I was not sure about adding my meager offering to this awesome patriotic party… but figured we all had to start somewhere.

So here it is, short and sweet…. Well…. short.

also - can anyone tell me the proper way to post a video?  it took me about a dozen tries, and it still came on funny - starts instantly - the start button is at the bottom... etc.  thanks,

Great job, @gwscheer ! I love the echo effect and the patriotic tie.

@ginnysg : your best bet is to post the video to YouTube, click "Share" under the video to get the link, then paste the link into a forum post. You should see a preview window in the post after you click "Add Reply." It won't play automatically.

If you don't want it to be available for everyone on YouTube to see, you can set the privacy to "unlisted." Then only people with the link -- that includes people reading these posts -- will be able to view it. Don't set the privacy to "Private" or only you will be able to view it.

Hope that helps. -- Diane
