Today, I did my 2nd public recital organised my teacher. I managed Pachelbel's Canon (thanks for the arrangement Pierre, it was a part 4 trombone, my violin part 1 and my teachers viola part 3 (sporting it's new SlipperRest from our very own Fred T). This was followed by Ashokan Farewell accompanied by piano. After the interval it was 'a Sad Romance', and finished with 'putting on the Ritz' part of my ABRSM grade 3 exam.
All in all it was "ok". Some fluff ups, some scratchy bowing, but on the whole I tried to concentrate on adding feeling via Dynamics, trying to make it sound like pleasureable music for the audience rather that just banging out the notes with timing and intonation.
My buddy video'd it so once he has sent me the USB I'll load 'em up here in critique corner.
I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....
