It's funny how different they sound in person as opposed to recorded. Doesn't sound good at all.

Sorry, Noir's

Fiddlestix, I think it was great.  I was practicing that tune last night and I was going iver the fingering slowly when my daughter says, "is that the theme song from Charlie Brown Christmas".  I didn't think I was playing it that bad.  By the way I like your helicopters. I have several of them.

This went so pear-shaped after half-way it can only be classified as a practice
feature=youtube_gdata_player

Once my camera batteries are charged and now we have the timing sorted (except I'm using 3/4 and not 6/8 @ 120, but don't tell Fiddlerman!!)
I'll do a practice of Part 5 for "Pirate" though I live part 3 but don't think I can manage it roflol

Fiddlestix, I always hate hearing myself. I think this is our nature.
Anyway, I think it's really cool that you posted VN's piece. I really didn't arrange it though. Just straightened out the time signature and added a few bowings. :-)
Thanks for the post, now I feel like I know you.

Here, Terry - I'll join you.

Here is my practice vid, all one minute of it!! Just in case you folks wondered why I don't get around to posting more videos, here is my process:

Step one - move laptop to bedroom [small, crowded, not much space between me and the camera]

Step two - get webcam working [figured out how to fix the focus this time]

Step three - close door [alas, no lock ]

Step four - neglect to tell kiddos to leave me alone [they wouldn't pay attention anyway]

Step five - try to make practice video that doesn't showcase my nostrils

Step six - stop because the six year old want to know if he can have a tamale...facepalm

Dion......

Step 3,  Chair under door knob, that takes care of Step 4.

Step 5, Dusk mask.  dancing

If you don't mind a little constructive crisism.  Are you comfortable with your violin that low ?

You need a new hold on your bow,, looks like you're holding a golf club.

other than that, keep practiciing, lady.thumbs-up you'll get it.

come on Terry; I didnt MAKE you do it... I might have twisted your bow strings a bit, but you did this all yourself... and did a very smart job of it I might add.

This is great, everyone actually letting their hair down and playing... see... even a practice is fun... hittin all the right notes is not required and it isnt a beauty contest either...

Everyone is doing great... now for that Naska, gotta get here in here somewhere...LOL
