Thanks wtw for having a watch and for the exceptionally kind comments not just from you but Mouse and Katie as well.
I am trying to get a bit more serious with it, at first I couldnt relax at all my neck would hurt, my back would hurt, I changed shoulder rest 5 times, and when it came to recording a vid, red button syndrome, but I think I am finally getting past that now. I am practicing a new jig at the moment and playing it in a very Irish style, I am dropping the classical for now, its been detrimental to learning, thanks all again for having a listen, and for the encouragement as well most appreciated.;)

@stringy Bravo! Nicely played! I think your hard work is paying off. Your bowing is well balanced and smooth. And you’ve got a nice, steady tempo on this, it never feels rushed.
I think something can be said about living with a piece for a while—not necessarily playing it all the time, but just having practiced it for a while, putting it aside, & picking it back up again. Maybe like fine wine—needs to age for a while.
Characterize people by their actions and you will never be fooled by their words.

I have an awfully broad scope of what 3 years of playing is - there are quite a few members here on the forum playing approximately 3-4 years, but we ALL have different experiences! The extremes range from people with very busy lives that fit in as much time as possible, learning on their own every week - to others who dedicate hours of practice every day and also follow through with individual & group teacher help/instruction (live) each week.
Here's an article that might boost your morale - take a look at year 3 & 4:
