Thanks for sharing. That's a very pretty piece. I love learning about all the different songs people are playing here.
Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

@Fiddlerman yes...more relaxed than ever. Thank you. I wish I had remembered bowing for that.. But.. Playing from sheet is newer ... The good thing about videos.. We learn... Thank you!
I had trouble pasting the link and my options for linking are disabled. So I went to HTML and linked from there???
@Georganne thank you!

I am sorry I didn't get a chance to follow this thread. It started about the time my wife went into the hospital. She was in there for 4 months, so I didn't get a lot of violin playing done.
I enjoyed all of the videos that have been posted.
I am not working on any particular pieces of music right just my technique. I am doing different exercises in about 6 books. I'll practice an exercise 10 times and move to the next book. Whenever I run out of time, I just pick up right where I left off the next day. I'll pick out my favorite exercise and play it one time as a recording. If it happens to be good. It is good. If it is lousy, sorry.
Pierre, I appreciate the comment you made about bringing the elbow under the violin in order to play faster. I want to get faster. My teacher I had a few years ago said that I have my fingers to far away from the fingerboard, but he really didn't give me a suggestion on how to correct it in a natural way.
I liked the idea of having a duet contest. My daughter and I could play one, I think she is even registered on here now. She doesn't play much though.

I love that Simple Gifts song - very nicely done duet!! Isn't it also known as Lord of the Dance.
Have you seen this video? I love it!!
That used to be one of my warm up songs until I memorized Perpetual Motion from Suzuki Book 1.
I play Perpetual Motion starting with string G, then D then A. Trying to get faster and faster as I go.
Hopefully some day I will be fast on all of Berty's strings!!
I am trying to load a video but for some reason I can't upload it on You tube.

OK, got the video up loaded. Right after tuning I jump into this tune. I just realized today that I should change it up and start with the A string, D, then G, so I can change the speed to faster and faster on the G string.
Funny since I knew it was to be looked at as a warm-up I was not nervous. Please ignore the dust under my violin case!! No wait I know that is - rosin!!
