Hello again people. I just wanted to give you an update. I have been practicing the armvibrato for a month now, and suddenly, just a couple days ago, something happened:) I explain it in my video.
I must just say that I am extremely grateful this forum, the people in it, and of courseFiddlerman himself. It has been a great help to go in here and watch his videos and read on the forum when i'm stuck.
In the first video I talk about experiences and the progress on the armvibrato, and in the second I try to play "smile" by Charlie Chaplin. I hope that I can do justice to this tune.
I posted this in "share a video", but please feel free to criticize me in a constructive way

Congrats, Frequenzy, you got it.
I'm so happy for you. Finally out of the tunnel and it paid off, right?
Very nice tune as well and with more practice your vibrato will get better and better as SD said.
Nice to talk to you in the chat box.
@StoneDog: you will get it, keep trying and give it a month or two.
You're doing well, Freq, keep up the good work.

FREQ!!!!!!!! Right on... I am so inspired.... (I won't tell you what I hurled across the room in a jealous fit)...but anyway..I like how you describe it.."broke free." Congrats to you.
I don't care if it is over rated..or what...I JUST WANT TO DO IT!!!!
ha... kidding... I don't spend time on it because I just don't... I spend time with making my songs sound good in first position... waiting for the right time.... and yadda.... and reading all the encouraging news of the folks here learning... and trying...
Ignoring the Hogwash that is inflicted at times...ha ha...
There are truly some things money cant buy..
whoopin' it up for you!

Thank you all! Your support really gives me a boost to keep going!
@Picklefish Thank you! I know you will get there. Your dedication is admireble! Keep posting your teachers tips. I find it very helpful:)
@coolpinkone I'm not worthy of the resposebility for the breaking and throwing of your stuff:) Please keep your items at a non-airborne level. I think your tactic is the right one. I may have rushed into doing vibrato myself, but i'm like you, I just want to do it!
In my experience, it's only about practice anyway, so it is just to wobble till you get it:D
@OldCrow I may have gotten myself into a void that I cant get out of! Well, I know i'm not supposed to do it, but i'll try anyway! Can't care to much about restrictions:)
@Ferret I know I should stop, but it's kind of addictive:) The tune is amazing. That guy knew what he was doing!

@Fiddlerman Thank you! it so good to know that I am moving in the right direction The flexibility is not at its best, but the fingers seem to know what kind of motion I expect of them now. If I can be of some inspiration for others it would be great! I have just been following the advices in your videos:)
Phew! It's good you thought I was scandinavian. It's no problem that you pegged me for a swede. I like their language very much. I think they have a bit "softer" accent than us though. (like the muppets chef, lol)
@Worldfiddler Thank you, sir:)

I'm jealous!
Makes me want to pick back up on learning vibrato! I had made some progress, but then it seemed to be a day by day thing (either it would happen that day or not at all!). I would believe that mirror thing cdennyb, the practice rooms I use have full length mirrors, and I would just naturally want to watch my hand in the mirror when practicing.
@cdennyb Thank you:) I have actually been using the mirror when i practice the armvibrato. I found out that I had a tendency to use wristvibrato when I wasn't using the mirror. But thanks for the tip anyway:) Everyone should know about how important it is to use a mirror. I still use the mirror. My main problem is that my fingers are to flat, so the mirror helps me there.
@scooter No reason to be jealous:) I take it as a compliment that I am able to make you jealous though In my experience it is all about putting enough hours in it, and to do those boring exercises. I belive anyone can do it.
Well, I am jealous of your practiceroom. Is the acoustics any good there? I just visualized a big dancestudio when I read "full length mirrors"
