In the years past, well since 2014, I've usually kicked-off a "Xmas Tunes" or a similarly named thread, where anyone can add their Xmas carols, Hymn tunes, or simply Seasonal Songs - basically so all submissions are in one place and can be easily found, and indeed, effectively archived for future reference. To my utter shame and disgrace, I was unable to do that this year, being pre-occupied with other matters.
So - in an attempt to bring all submissions together (since @mookje, @wtw and @HP have done individual posts) - in this top-page - I'll place links to the threads, or specific posts, they started.
It would be good if any new or further submissions were to be posted in this thread, so they can all be found from one place. Cool !
OK - so here is what we have right now - and Well Done you three, thanks so much for sharing your playing !
(1) @mookje thread - https://fiddlerman.com/forum/s.....-1/#p95416 (Jingle Bells)
(2) @wtw thread - https://fiddlerman.com/forum/s.....-2/#p95180 (Silent Night)
(3) @HP thread - https://fiddlerman.com/forum/s.....ne/#p95495 (God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen)
Cool, thanks to all of you, and bring on more seasonal tunes folks, you know you want to !!!!
EDIT: and of course, A very Merry Xmas and a peaceful holiday-time to you all - you all have these "dead days" between Xmas and New Year to post your tunes ! LOL
AND THEN - it'll be the New Year 2019 Party Thread ( nope, there is no escape! )
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

OK - (and let me specifically mention @bocaholly because you asked for the SJ show) here's the result of my recent Streetjelly show earlier today - K - so - yeah - it's a 30 min session and some of the tunes are kind of off-the-cuff as they say - and if I had the time I would have edited down and removed the warts, and made it shorter... no matter -
And - the person I appear to be talking to is the only chatter (@mookje on the FM forum ) out of the 3 viewers I had - who - whoever they were - did manage to tolerate the entire 30 minutes !
Hahahah ! Great fun - love it.... I had a blast - and as ever - usual story - single-takes, on the fly - still got warts and all.. especially live - but - mehhhh it's all for fun and enjoyment...
So, here you go friends.. you'll find it here - feature=youtu.be -
and here's what the set list finally turned out to be ( it wasn't really all that well planned, I had a list of about 50+ tunes and tried to mix things up a bit )
Ding Dong Merrily on High
We Wish you a Merry Xmas
Jingle Bells / Dashing thru the Snow - with a poor attempt at double stopping
Thaxted / I vow to Thee my Country / Hymn tune
Ode to Joy
Turkey in the Straw
Mookje asked on chat for "Frosty the Snowman" - don't know it LOLOL
Billy's Return (own composition, slow air)
Schoolhouse Waltz (own composition, more or less a waltz!)
Bonnie wee Jeannie McColl
God Rest ye Merry Gentelmen ( big failure ! )
Thistle of Scotland
(and Bb for that matter)

@BillyG Thanks for posting, friend.
That jingle bells rendition has enough ornaments to cover the Christmas tree at Times Square!
Love that Thaxted theme... def going on my todo list... even if it means biting the Bb bullet
Now for Ode to Joy and then off to sleep. Will catch the rest later... ah, the joys of recording technology!

Thanks @BillyG Christmas isn’t over yet so you can still play Frosty these days ☃️
Well, I definitely stay away from double stops to keep up the Christmas spirit. I can’t manage them and my dog really really hates my double stops ?
Merry Christmas to you and yours Billy
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about dancing in the rain!!

Thank you @Mark - and my best wishes to you and yours !
Yes, it would have been somewhat early in the day to catch it live States-side, so I attracted an audience of but 3 folks LOL - but - it's the fun and pleasure of doing it - I have been known to play to no-one at all on occasion. Hahahaha !!!
Merry Xmas -

Huh, that's weird. I was trying to link to a video on my facebook page, but apparently the software is trying to embed the video and not doing it right. It's the third video on this page, http://readin.com/blog/?id=3523

Ahhh, gotcha ! Cool
Yeah the nearest thing I have to a cello is my old 4/4 Skylark fiddle, restrung as a viola, fitted with a self-adhesive set of $5 planar piezo pickups and played through a Boss ME80 FX box in octave dropper mode - it's a Chin Cello ! LOL - oh for goodness' sake - here it is - hang on till I find the link - here yah go -
Told yah - we're crazy enough to be believed ! Love the tinpancello !!!!

Bet Irv will be happy to see that the violoncello da spalla player had black horsehair on his bow.
And now on to my holiday contribution... just nabbed Captain Fraser Clarke of the RCAF exercising his lungs in my friend's backyard this late afternoon.
Fraser spent the better part of August in Edinburgh representing the RCAF in a ginormous bagpiper event with thousands of pipers (including a mounted troupe from Oman) and something like 250,000 spectators over the course of the festivities. Saturday evenings there were two shows... the second ending with a parade of pipers marching, full blast, down to the bus terminal and back up to the caserne at 1:30 am. Wasn't great for the local residents' beauty sleep, he said.
