I think it's great you are watching & listening - the more you do it, the more you will see & hear. 

 

She changes her bow speed within a stroke - good thing to experiment with. 😊 

 

...it's important to try to learn to produce the best tone you can, but keep in mind when you compare your sound to people on YouTube - they may have edited their video sound with software.  I think one of the reasons why a lot of people like electric violins is because tone can be altered more easily.

Yes , have to say I don’t really notice things . I didn’t notice the change in bow speed. But I’ve just been playing Vincent and have manage to practice a few things like that. I think that’s the way to do it, experiment and then at some point realise yes I like that or yes that fits. But I can see how she is playing lighter at the tip and then goes louder again. Really clever. I only really noticed that after watching several times.
