Aloha everyone,
What I wrote today is admittedly a little on the dark side. "Walking on the Edge" is a musical interpretation of the mental processes one takes when considering two options, neither of which are particularly good. It implies that the person has gotten into this predicament entirely of their own accord and must dig their way out. Still, I like the way it turned out and hope y'all do as well. Enjoy!

I was skeptical when you started all this, not expecting much, but you're actually creating some very nice tunes that are becoming more tonally and rhythmically complex as you go along. Too bad you didn't get the urge to start doing this when you were about 12, eh?

Aloha @Uzi,
Well, I started on the piano, but never wrote anything of consequence. While I was somewhat accomplished (not ready to tour or anything, but not so bad in a band), I didn't concentrate on writing music, just playing it.
There's just something about pickup up my fiddle - I start playing and all of a sudden, the notes just come together. Thank you for noticing the improvement in my tunes - you'll most likely see a corresponding complexity as I get better. I'm actually getting better at playing them!
I have another march nearly ready to submit, that started out in D minor, but was changed to D major. Some of the intervals don't sound as good in some respects, but it's really coming along nicely.

Maybe you have a future in gaming music
Aloha @Fiddlerman,
It does sound like a video game soundtrack, right? I'm an iOS developer, but haven't written anything along those lines in a while. Maybe I should write a side shooter and use this or something else like it. Thanks for the suggestion - I hadn't thought of that.
