@Panda-P - thanks for the SF party and your submissions - good work!
and @RosinedUp @Ferret, @coolpinkone good work - I enjoyed them all !
Finally got round to it - and - as ever - I threw the sheet away. Why? Well I wanted to play-along to Panda's guitar (and do a mix down with her final track...) so I needed my timing to synch as best I could...
LOL - I'm not doing this to bore you all - you can jump straight to track 4 but I thought it would be fun to show what can be be done with a little bit of inventiveness and free software...
So here you go -
Track 1 - just me on EV, no FX - taking my timing and lead from Panda's Guitar track in my headphones...
Track 2 - added reverb and echo in Audacity
Track 3 - mix of track 2 with Panda guitar
Track 4 - final mix with @Panda-P submission
Hope it doesn't detract too much from "how the song should be played" - it was just great fun, and interesting trying this out...

Great one Bill @BillyG
I'm glad you joined the party.
I've never played to a backing track in my short 'career' as a fiddler.
Will have to give it a try sometime soon.
I hope you gave been giving some thought to the 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day' project coming up next month. Would love to see you there.
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of ..... What was I saying????

Thanks @Ferret - and yup John, "...talk like a pirate" - I am planning to be there ! I love these little projects...

I find it interesting to try these things - obviously get a "good handle" on the tune to start with, then try to adapt, maybe change the rhythm to "fit" something else that's going on in the backing track - maybe shift an octave for a few bars - and so on - that's why I like to "play-along" with other peoples' submissions - or sometimes a well and professionally-crafted midi ....
The end result can sound a "bit unexpected" when first listened to - but that's originality for you, and it can bring a "uniqueness" and personal touch... hopefully without crucifying the original too much !

Generous soul that I am, I put together a MuseScore sheet for SF. It's a streamlined revision of Pierre's version, but with chords taken from the alto sax (curse you, Ferret, ha ha) version above, transposed to a C major key sig and D-Dorian. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether the D on the first beat of measure 5 fits the F chord in that major. Anyone with an idea about that, please comment.
I'm attaching a pdf. Somehow I'm still not able to upload MuseScore files, even when disguised as .txt or .TXT, and that hurts.
