Currently working on errors from the latest (SimplePress) forum update. Many issues have been resoled and others are being worked on. Thank you for your patience.

Really sorry to hear that @CyndieZ - there *must* be an answer somewhere... very strange. But, there's always another time ! Thank you very much for your interest - and - at least you can view the shows - so we'll no doubt see you in the audience!
Just to keep everyone else updated - as it happens Jasmine @FiJaPAW has also pulled out - she notified us on the Facebook thread - so I'll just re-cap here - Jazz's plan was to play the violin part of an orchestral piece, along with a backing track - but it seems her audio equipment she needed to do that has gone on the blink - and it wouldn't work as a soloed piece - so we're down to 4 again....

Yup indeed @Barry - a new approach, perhaps to include other instrument players on SJ may well bring an increased interest ( I did try to convince a couple but it didn't fit with their plans for the day! )
Myself, well, I felt so horrid on that day with a head/chest-cold, I almost did a "no show" ( can you actually "do" a no-show ??? LOL yah know what I mean... ) - but the show has to go on irrespective !
Yeah, I mentioned this elsewhere on one of the FB groups - I still find it quite surprising that back at year 3 we had only around 3000 forum members and the bulk of the players came from here, with a couple of others from the SJ scene if I recall correctly. Having hit in excess of 18,000 members now - the low uptake really does surprise me.
What doesn't surprise me one little bit though - is that some of our performers from back then have taken the experience, bitten the bullet, came to realize public playing is "not that difficult" - and have very successfully gone off to pastures new, and are doing their very own fiddle thing - and THAT in itself is a result brother, something not to be forgotten about the success of your original plan. So there!

@BillyG I had mentioned something similar to Barry... making more of a general music fest, so people can come and play whatever they play.
I do want to get back on for a few Strings on Sunday things, to keep me from getting rusty. I felt a tad rusty for this past FiddleFest, it had been a while, haha. The regular playing on there really was a nice form of practice, and just fun 🙂

I feel horrible, even worse than my playing. I seem to have fallen into a slump where my playing sounds worse than when I first started. In any case, I had every intention of signing on and at least scaring folks with 15-minute slot. As I failed to review everyone's time slot by the time I got back for morning chores I missed the first two, and .... My bad. no excuses. I'll do better... promise
