Oh, thanks for that video, Greg! I liked it! I wish I had some buddy to play with... it looks so much fun!

This just gave me a fun idea, how about Fiddlerman’s summer camp for all of us?! 😄😄 Where would we find a kitchen table large enough for us to gather there to play together? 🎻🎶 That would be so fun!

(I just don’t want to think covid-19 or the fact there are 7000 kilometres and one ocean between us...🤪)

@Ilona -

Laughing To Bits Emoticons

Kevin told me we might be getting a "Space Port" in Michigan.

We'll have to ask Elon Musk to stop over to pick you up in one of his spaceships for a live Kitchen Party!

glad you liked it @Ilona !  have you looked for jams/sessions close to home yet?  might be the time now with that spark of interest.  did you watch the first one in this topic with Jay and Molly?  thats a good one too.

I hope one very famous music camp will be held next summer. It’s almost in a neighboring town, so the location is perfect for me. I should have been there last summer, but then it was canceled because of covid-19... I really, really hope this summer will be better in every way and they can organize it.

This camp is for kids and adults and especially for families. There will be private lessons and lots of playing together in different lineups. And of course all styles of music.

I hope my daughter will come there with me, it would be great for her too as she has had motivation issues with playing right now. This corona time has not been easy for a kid who misses her friends so much. She enjoyed playing in the children’s orchestra, but hates online lessons.

Andy Reiner on fiddle Joy Adams on cello...tunes from their common tune list...this is a high quality video worth a few minutes of time ,especially ashokan at the beginning, if you have interest in trad stuff..scottish, irish , old time here.  Andy is an expert fiddler..but Joy is what makes this one unique to me.

OMGOSH! I absolutely love that! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!  I love the bowing she is doing. I gives me a sense of fiddle music and a hint of bluegrass jamboree type. This is fabulous!

Thanks 👍

@ABitRusty -

Fun tune & great idea for a Party!

Would be cool to do the party as it gets close to Summer, when it's hot out - just to set the mood for "kick'n back" on the porch with some lemonade... and fiddles... and cellos.

@Mouse , @Ilona -

This looks like a fun Cello tutorial - you can hear the full tune at 4:06.

Great tips on how to "spruce up" a simple tune!

Joy Adams shows the bowing some, but would've been nice if the camera view was vertical.

Also some other great videos on Joy's YouTube channel!

...I should be able to finally record a few more Party videos this weekend!

This thread is why I bought that fiddle cello book. I still like it, although, I am not sure if I am going to switch to fiddle music. It is great fun and the book really does help. But, I am finding that I prefer more expressive music. Weird, that the fiddle cello book seems to be helping with intonation more, though, and will with speed, I believe. I hope I get that one good enough to post soon.

I watched another video of hers. I am going to go back and bookmarking them so I can access them more quickly.

Joy is a very helpful to watch. I am going to look for more Andy Reiner and Joy Adams videos, too. They play well together.

Fun thread.

Hmm, this one is interesting. Maybe I should try this. 🤔 I’m so strongly oriented to classical music, that it would be nice to try something totally different. That’s why I also like our parties so much! I’m not going to change my style, but experimenting with all the different styles can't hurt me in any way.
