I read a lot of posts about carbon fiber bows and pernambuco bows. If you are not happy with either, why not try a Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber Weave or Hybrid viola bow?
These are excellent. I have one of each. The carbon fiber weave came out first, or at least I noticed it first. I was never a fan of the regular carbon fiber bows of any brand, but this carbon fiber weave is excellent. I like the feel, balance and sound it produces.
Next, I noticed the Hybrid. It has the carbon fiber core and wood on the outside. This is an excellent bow. It may just be the way I bow, but it does seem to give a slightly mellower sound than carbon fiber bows. The sounds you get will depend on your bowing, instrument, strings, rosin, etc.
What I am saying is, don't just consider the regular carbon or a pernambuco. There is the carbon weave and hybrid available, also.
