I did not know that they were hollow but I guess carbon fiber is too heavy to have solid. I do know that they are very strong as I have had some incredibly bad hits on that bow and very surprised that mine is still in one piece.
So the moral of this story is "Don't heat this bow up and try to reshape it" RIGHT?

That is almost frightening.Actually if you look at it from the front, it's probably pretty.
It's cool though. I have yet to purchase a violin with anything fancy on it. I guess sound is always my priority.
I'm a woman, so appearance has an effect on me. The below link shows my favorite -- dragon and phoenix -- a pair! but .... no money no talk... Any way, I thought a dragon, a horse head scroll looks much better a man's head scroll to me. for some reason i think it is spooky to have a man looking down at me playing violin.
