Well, many sites actually get the listing from Amazon and when you click on it you end up on Amazon. Same thing with the UPC code lookup. Once we straighten it out our name will show up.
Someone from Amazons executive sales department gave me a call and is working for me. We'll see. He said it will take at least 2-3 days for the catalog department to fix it. Lets see if they remove Crescent all together.

I hope they ban this seller, but since we know for sure it isn't Cresent and probably isn't even CresentWarehouse, they'll probably just pop up again with different stolen names.

It's all very frustrating. Every time I speak to a rep, team member, supervisor I get renewed hope only to be let down by the time that goes by with no results.

In your thread on amazon you said you still have control over the description and bullet points. Is that still the case, or have they taken over that part of the listing as well? Are you allowed to change those to direct people over to fiddlershop.com until the issue is resolved? Or change them to reflect that only bows sold directly from the Fiddlershop/fulfilled by amazon are the real deal?

You have a point Mandy. :)
I could write that in the bullet points. However, that would be against Amazon policy. But what they are doing is definitely against Amazon policy.

They could at that point call Amazon support and ask the catalog department to remove our bullet points based on such a comment. I don't want to mess with it right now. Can't compete with that price anyway.

I thought it might be against some kind of terms, but wasn't sure. Hopefully it all gets straightened out soon.

Have you tried a DMCA notice not on the listing itself, but on the photos? I self publish on Amazon and they can be very picky about nicked images, especially if it's obviously a celebrity or if there's a watermark (like, hey, a brand name on the handle!) on the image.

Worst case scenario, can you just create a new ASIN and relist the item? Have the old one taken down (and, sadly, risk losing all those reviews, although I'm certain those here would redo it) and start over. I'm not sure how the seller side is, but if it's anything like publishing they have their own subsection that's more into helping that area. (Like, Amazon KDP is who I contact for publishing, NOT Amazon the entire entity)

My $0.02 for whatever it's worth. Might also get people to report that ASIN page as being fraudulent (but don't post reviews as, the way it sits now, those might end up on your page as well). Hope it gets worked out, Amazon is a serious b!tch to work with sometimes (DAMHIK)!!

Ladyeclectic,

I keep getting reassured that it will be taken care of. What happens is that when the catalog department makes the changes the aggressor changes it back just as fast. Amazon needs to get rid of them and that takes time. Don't ask me why it takes so much time.
I thought about starting a new ASIN but as soon as the product gets popular the same thing can happen again. Also, it will take quite a while to get 154 great reviews again. We would probably sell very little at first.
As far as the image goes, we did change ours not to have the watermark and so forth so that is no longer an issue. Who gains power over vital information and images has to do with an algorithm based on the buy box and quality of the pictures and title. It's a terrible hole in their system IMAO. I wish they were like other sites and the product (ASIN) belonged to the creator.

For what it's worth, I did some research and read that one way to speed the process up is if someone buys the product, takes pictures and files a return because the item is a fake.

Do you think that might help move things along for you?

@Fiddlerman I think it sucks that you are dealing with this and quite frankly I am surprised at Amazon.

I hope it is resolved soon.
