Without trying to be too solicitous, my daughter will be performing at The Tin Can downtown this Wednesday at 9pm.  If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you details.

You can check out some of her music at http://www.brookenicoletelarico.com

It'll be a great show!

Okay, I guess that was a little self-serving; but new music in San Diego is very exciting around here.

Cool, I checked the website. Congratulations.
Looks like you and I have a similar situation with our girls.
Wish her luck from me.

Hey Denny - I thought for sure I put it under the "Southwest Region", I intended to,,, so sorry

Thank you NV for your kind wishes, she plays pretty regularly in SD; not sure how many people on this site are in our area, so I thought I'd post the event

Thanks for checking out the site FM.  I know, exactly, I've seen the clips of your daughter, she has a beautiful voice.  And I will pass along your regards.

Pierre, anytime you find yourself in SoCal, I'd love to buy you dinner and a brew [or a few], anytime.  And if Joanna is traveling with you, she and Brooke could certainly collaborate.  Would be fun!!!

Would be very fun. I'm thinking about taking a business/pleasure trip to So Calif. since I have some relatives living there and it is actually a potential moving destiny for me someday. I think the people of California think more the way I do. :-)
I will definitely take you up on your offer and maybe I can meet MGN as well. Dennis, you are up north right?
Who else lives in southern California?

FM, I didn't see your post above until this morning.  That would be so cool to have you out here!  When you know you're coming for a visit please let me know so we can meet for dinner; and yeah MGN is just north of me about 45 mins.; and yeah Denny is way up north,,, but I think he's going to be sailing his cat down to Newport soon dunno

So the only thing that concerns me FM is that you have more in common with Californians roflol

Actually I've been thinking that for quite a while. California always does things politically along my thinking as apposed many other states. I love the fact that California California added the compound 4-methylimidazole to its list of known carcinogens in 2011. Forced the soda industry to change their recipes to make it slightly less dangerous.
I don't drink soda but I used to. The list of things that I like about California goes on. I prefer the Gulf Stream though.... Much warmer waters here.
Can't do much surfing here though. I used to surf in Florida's choppy waves but it was a struggle and not that many occasions because of the Bahamas blocking the long flow of wind necessary to create those beautiful waves.
We don't have mountains either. :-(
