Are Galamian scales important for a learner ?   And what's the big deal anyhow?

The Galamian book is about $30 so it would have to be good !

Oliver, you have an avatar now. Nice to meet you.

Galamian is not important. Scales are, and Galamian is a great book but there are other great systems out there as well. For me Flesch is the bible for scales, but you don't need to do any of them. It's just good stuff that's all.
