To greater insure that the sound-post stays in place on a violin or viola during shipping, you can easily build your own bridge support. This simple cardboard insert (invented by Fiddlerman ;-)) will keep your bridge from collapsing in cases where the package is thrown dropped. While there are no guarantees that the strings will stay in tune the chances are much greater that the instrument will arrive in the same condition that it was sent.

You must be signed in to post a comment MouseFor Grandpafiddle – I had to delete it. There was a symbol beside the bubble that looked like maybe you logged out before it posted all the way, maybe. So, it maybe got caught in lala land. I could be wrong.[reply]Grandpafiddle
Hi Mouse. Maybe I did something wrong when I posted it? Maybe you can fix? If not, delete. Not really important. G’paMouse
For ELCBK – Could you open it to red it? Nothing happens when I select it to read it. Screen does not open, and it does not open. Cannot access it from the top where new posts are listed, it stays as unread.Mouse
Is anyone else having trouble opening grandpafiddle’s post in Reviews? https://fiddlerman.com/forum/reviews/reviews/Mouse
