The building that my instructor has her studio in was broken into last night.  They busted open her studio door too.  Thankfully they were interrupted before they could take anything.  They had a bunch of computers from the other businesses in the building piled up next to the door.  Anyways, my lesson is the first of the day and she has just gotten another student scheduled in right after me.  So we spent too long during my time for me to get a new song from her.  I've been working on my current ones for a couple to several weeks now and am ready to start working on something new.  What do you have?  What is fun to play?  I need ideas!

Fun for one may be torture for another.

What kinds of tunes do you like?

I like to encourage all to play the Godfather theme... it is rich and zesty.... like sauce..

you know?  da gravy?  you can "take it to the Mattresses"exactly

I am going to work on the other "Minute"   from the Suzuki book.  It is not my favorite but I think there is something to learn.  I don't know the name of the other Minuet. It is just not the Bach Minuet 1.  facepalm

American the Beautiful and Pomp and Circumstance is nice from the Essentials 2 book.flag_usa

Have you ever thought of Sad Romance for Violin.banana  It is nice and pretty also.

Somewhere over the Rainbow is pretty.violin_girl

Fiddle Tunes are fun, you might already know them, they are all sort of new to me.

Hummm.... I really like the Dark Waltz,devil-violin Pierre has it on one of his demos, and Naska (madwed) recorded it also.  Not sure where to get sheet for that.

Well... that is what I came up with for now. :)

And there is the Paganini Piece in the Essentials book called Etude.  I still have yet to find a recorded version of it. (which I kind of need to hear to play well with the sheet).

Mostly Celtic and old American folk.

@Georganne

As you can see, the list is 'huge' :)

There are just so many great pieces of music to choose from.

However, your participation in the 'Talk Like A Pirate' project would be appriecated :)
