OK, ladies and gents, it's been discussed and decided that I'm the go-to person in regards to accepting submissions for the new idea, A Fiddlerman.com Calender for the remaining months of this year.

Please submit your pictures here, and e-mail (to: [email protected]) them to me as well in the original file format (big files ok) so the resolution isn't compromised and I'll be starting to assemble a calender for all the members to download from this site as a pdf. You can print it out and have it for the whole year with pics of your fellow members playing, modeling the latest FM gear or pics they send in. It'll be 8-1/2 x 11 in size.

Nothing dirty... nothing questionable... keep it about fiddles, violins, FM in general, you get the idea. Pierre will have final say if it's admissible or not. Credit will be given for the pic at the bottom of the pic when it's placed on the calender and that's all you get, no money's changing hands so don't think you'll get continued royalties thru the year. LOL

If it works out, we should have a finished product in a couple of weeks at the latest.

I'll make a suggestion that Mad_Wed uploads her picture wearing the FM cap. Very appropriate. Thanks for the idea Dennis. smile

oh I forgot, no posting here unless you submit a picture. LOL where's yours?

I thought if I submitted one, people could see what I had in mind and maybe think up a good pic or angle to do there own. Maybe a close up of a favorite piece of sheet music, maybe not the whole page but just a closse up like I did here of the violin. Don't need to see the whole thing to know what it is right?

Maybe that could be the theme, never a full picture of something. Eg half a face ( wearing a Fiddlerman cap of course!) or a hand on a fingerboard etc

I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

could you provide a sample of what you're thinking? It will most likely end up on a month...

We're getting enough variety that we can have 2 calendars! One of Christmas project and the other of... welll... not Christmas project.

One of my favorite things about this site is the member interaction and projects.
Maybe combine a bunch of these photos from the Christmas project for the December month photo. I made them small for this post but you can get them right off the video as I did. We can choose just a few of them or all.

Thanks

yea.... a mosaic of all the players filling the entire area above the calendar number portion for the month of Dec.

That's awesome.... each pic would measure about 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" and we could put about 20 on there total I think. Have to start pasting them in that frame to really see what'll work best.

I was wondering because ever since the Christmas project was overso many people who were here are gone. I guess they only came to win something but I thought he really wanted to learn. Maybe he'll be back.

just for the record... I'm here for fun, and I could care less if i "win" something. Nothing like money and women to ruin good friendships.

I'll still be here next week, and probably the week after... that's just who I am... cheers

Hopefully lot's of people that used to be here before will come back. I think it is like that with all kinds of hobbies. You grow tired of it then you come back to it because it maybe enriched your life. smile

HaHa! That photo looks better when small sized =).

Nice idea actually!

The picture that i posted for a "t-shirt idea" is much more appropriate for a calender, than for a t-shirt....
