guitar string bouquet to cheer up the bass player in band Idiopathics; he fell on ice and broke his leg. I was changing my strings the next day so made this; should work with violin strings just the same.  g

I've always hated throwing away the ball ends, and thought they should be good for something. I see you included them as part of the bouquet.

Save your silver wrapped string's. My luthier peels off the silver winding on the string's and saves them in a cup. He has about 5 oz's.

Today's price per oz. of silver is $21.29 usd.

That's a lovely bouquet! I'm sure your friend really appreciated that. And I agree with the others who said that it seems a shame to throw out used strings.

Another possible use for old guitar strings is as replacement wire in a cheese cutter. I'd clean the string well with alcohol, first, though.
