Just purchased used continental youth classical guitars for my grandson and his similarly aged cousin. They were made for Conn back in the day, the source either being Japan or Korea. I have not received them yet so I cannot be more specific. The tops are obviously plywood but they look to be well constructed.
I have strung up classical guitars before, so I have no need for ball ended strings. I assume that I will need light or medium strings so that the little fingers will have a chance at over coming tension as they assault the finger board. And I am going to tune with a=434. Does any one know if there are strings designed for this purpose, or should I use standard size classical guitar strings? Specific manufacturer recommendations are welcome in that I am running blind on this.
