Hi EJK,Dionysia and StoneDog! It seems you have missed the comments of FM. Here it is...Uploaded on 3 Sep 2011
I was asked to play one of violin maker, Jan Larsson's new violins for a TV documentary about violin making around year 1989. I was set up in a church with strong spot lights on me for video. It was almost like playing in a sauna. I played straight though the Chaconne fairly satisfied when I was asked to play it again because of technical difficulties with the camera

I was soaked but agreed to do it for my friend Jan Larsson. Fingers were slipping all over the fingerboard, no one to pat the sweat off my face. Somehow I managed to play somewhat OK. Here is the Chaconne without the Swedish documentary part.
See! A perfect storm of variables that tell one heck of a story beyond the music!

He actually has "Sweet Child of Mine" tutorials on his Youtube channel!
I saw that, had my fiddle at the ready, hit play and then...........promptly put my fiddle back down and told myself "maybe in a few years!" LMAO
I think I'll start with his other tutorial for Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." It seems more feasible at the moment! LOL .......although, I may need a 5 string violin!

Thats fricken awesome.
You know, people are going to look back at this time we live in as a revolution to ability and play of violinists. The extreme ability to play things unheard of prior to this day's age. The ability to instantly share and learn from others and apply new thoughts, thinking and complicated playing to an extremely simple looking instrument.

Kogan on Beethoven looks like he needs more fiber in his diet. A bit stuffed up and needs some relief from his constipation. I am so glad I will never be at a point i want to "Experience" music with such "emotion". Look at the difference in the Journey violin cover player. even better, watch the two of them and you decide. Who would you rather be playing like.

A younger Menuhin and Gould. Fascinating how Menuhin uses all but the tiniest bit of hair at the tip of the bow; and how Gould sits in a low chair, plus seems to be mouthing the piano notes as he plays! Of course, a wonderful performance, and nice to watch them rather than just listen to the record.
