I' ve really been enjoying Antonin Dvorak more and more as I listen to classical music.  I especially enjoy this piece.  It's SO dark and yet alive!  Powerful I tell you!

"Zoria Shikhmurzayeva performs live Nikos Skalkottas ( 1904-1949 ) sonata for solo Violin 1st part.
A rare and brilliant example of 12 tone music played by one of the most unique violin talents of XX century, recorded live at Moscow Conservatory - " Skalkottas - First Russian presentation of violin music Concert " 8-6-1997 , entroduit by musicologist and friend of Skalkottas, John Papaioannou."
She and Naska share something common - both are from Tatarstan, Kazan

Not my favorite music but I'm glad you enjoyed it. These works usually grow on me after listening to them several times but not otherwise. :)
