Hi,
I'm getting back into the violin again after a 20 year or so hiatus. Here is my first attempt at a song about an hour after getting it back from the luthier who restrung it with new strings for me and a new bow.

I did this by ear without the orginal music playing so very likely the key is off what it should be. I only found out that Fiddlerman actually posted proper sheet notation afterwards so at some point I'll have to likely change the key once I get used to reading sheet music (more correctly, once I figure out the proper fingering for each note as I know how to read sheet music as I also play the saxophone and piano).
Next Steps:
- Add fret lines to the instrument in the correct place as a guide.
- Change to correct fingering per Fiddlerman's Challenge
- Convert an Electric Violin to a Baritone Violin so I can play an octave lower (may eventually get a 5-string and go "chin cello").
The ultimate goal is to get good enough that I can start playing my own songs and add the Violin & Baritone Violin to my composing endeavours.
Learning to Play the Violin again after 20+ years.
