Say the word 'experiment', and I'm all ears. (lol) 

Found a cool sound test on some experimental fiddles, with fronts, backs and ribs - all carved differently.  Raises some questions.

Interesting. That would probably be hard to hold for me though. I would need a shoulder rest or very high chinrest and I never use traditional should-rests. Sometimes I use a rubber pad.

🤣 Yes, the 'ribless' Baroque violin might be hard to play, but my GIF really didn't have anything to do with the experiment. 

They compared the sound of 3 very differently carved violins. 

The results were surprising.
