I hacked together this fix for my tiny, non-adjustable shoulder rest
Seems to work pretty well for a long-necked skinny person like myself

The shoulder rest that came with my Cecilio CVN500 didn't even come close to working for me.  It just sort of teetered forward over the top of my bony shoulder, leaving the very back point on my bony jaw to take the full load. Ouch :{

It's not pretty, but at least it takes the immense pressure off the back of my jaw, and straddles around my very sensitive clavicle bone.  Could I have just stuffed an extra wash cloth under there instead of this strange contraption?  Probably, but I thought of the strange contraption first, then realized it needed a much larger area for padding, lol.  I kind of like the jury-rigged look of it, anyway.

Once I get my gelrest, it's going to be perfect for practicing.  In the meantime, I just put a sock around the chinrest.  No one's going to watch me play yet anyway, so it gets the job done. XD

That is funny,
Glad that you worked it out so that you can use that shoulder-rest.
