Hey!
I recently purchased an used 1/2 size violin and it missed almost everything. (bridge, tailpiece, strings, etc.)
So i ordered these things and i want to set this violin up.
I am new to set up violins, but i've already set up a lot of guitars in the past, so i have a bit of experience with stringed instruments.
I didn't find any measurements for 1/2 violin, just for full sized ones.
Can you help me? What should be the:
- String spacing on the bridge (from the edge of the bridge to the G and E string and the space between each string)
- Action at the end of the fingerboard
- Distance between the bridge and the tailpiece

I have a second-hand 1/2 I've yet to put the new strings on - lack of time with the Grandkids. I recently bought a set of Fiddlerman strings for it. See "Best way to start the REALLY young on violin?" thread in "Teaching the violin" section.

Welcome to the forum Nexany.
31mm from G to E. Evenly spaced. Use a Spring Divider Caliper Compass for the even spacing.
