Ran across Cheryl Macomber on her YouTube Channel, today.
She makes violins, cellos and harps - 20 years in California, now in Kentucky.
@Ilona - you should see the beautiful cello she made in one of her videos!
Anyway, interesting videos that further my appreciation/understanding in the art of making stringed instruments.
...some fiddling going on, too!

Small world! Cheryl Macomber was my luthier for almost ten years, until she moved away in December 2019. She took great care of my viola. I also bought my primary viola bow from her. I didn't realize she had a YouTube channel, but that's probably because she seems not to have been very active on YouTube until after she moved to Kentucky.

Oooh, thanks @ELCBK and @stringy !!
I love watching how our instruments are made! ❤️

@AndrewH -
That is really cool - seems you helped support her business for half the time she operated in California!
Now it looks like she's sharing more of her life on YouTube to help cope with covid - which is nice.
Like to see more of where she goes with her miniatures, too - even though nobody in my house wants anything more to have to dust off. (lol)
She really uses some beautifully figured wood and has a killer varnish.
I was thoroughly impressed by how long a period she plays an instrument before varnishing it!
...and I want a set of those chimes!
...this would be nice for advertising (with a larger, backlit violin - lol), maybe instead of Garden Stakes. 🙄

Wow! How wonderful, you actually knew who made your viola!
