Is there a better violinist in the world
Remember when you watch this that there is only one instrument, no backing music, or other musicians. Everything played at once on one fiddle.

Thanks for sharing this!

Wasn't too long ago I checked his site to see what he'd been up to - was disappointed I didn't find anything recent.

Guess he was busy working on this. (lol)

That guy is really good, I've watched several unbelievable videos of his, especially his "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik".

I'm curious though, why (look closely) this violin has numerous "frets" on it. Some of this other recording show the same thing, but other performances show a violin with no "frets".

His frets are carved. He also makes his own strings. Also, he plucks strings with his fingering as wells as bowing so he gets two tones. From what I read, he is the only kne who does that.

Dont think he needs the frets bob, I have heard that the glasses he sometimes wears show up iltraviolet markers on the fingerboard, but personally I think he is a showman and he has and does these things as a talking point, as his ears are obviously amazingly good

It's hard to believe it's been a year since we all first talked about Roman Kim - much more videos back in the other thread (all worth watching).

Great Performances - Roman Kim Thread

I really hope he'll do some master classes someday - before I get too old!
