To answer Bob's (Lone Oak, TX) question about being a multi-instrumentalist, I have had a long relationship with guitars, acoustic and electric, lap steel, banjo and resonator. I also play harmonica, didgeridoo and ocarina. I consider myself as an intermediate level player of the guitars, banjo and didgeridoo. It seems that my life in music is a continual search for the variety of sound. I have decided to start with the violin because I seem to find the most enjoyment from the sound variety that I am hearing from the really good players. I am picking up the theory pretty easily due to my past experiences, however, I am sadly lacking in music reading skills. I am so happy to have found Fiddlerman and look forward to being more active in the forums and group adventures. Thanks again for welcoming me to your group- I really appreciate it.
