Guess I will formely introduce myself, My name is Erich Feldhaus AKA late Bloomer. 52 years old 30 yrs married to the same gal. Three cool kids all of adult age now. Construction superintendent in Dallas.
Picked up the violin at the tender age of 48, four yrs now. Took lessons every other week for two yrs. Have a instructer now that I see every chance I get but do not get over to see her very much due to work.
Ever since I started playing the violin I have not aged one day. So there you go, another advantage of fiddleing.
Look forward to haveing alot of fun on this site. Everyone seems really cool. Very impressed with your work FM. I have already benifitted from your knowledge . Keep it up.

Glad to meet you Erich. I'm 48 and have been married to the same woman for almost 28 years so I can relate. There are not that many in our shoes. We are dedicated people. This means that you will probably stick to the fiddle till you die. 
Glad that you enjoy the forum and site.

Hey Erich, nice to meet you. I picked up the violin when I was 8 and again when I was 14 and now I just play for my own enjoyment. We all have to start somewhere, it's good that you've stuck to it for so long. And of course, welcome!

On the contrary since I began playing I have been able to get rid of most of that bothersome fuzz on my head. 
I felt the hair was muffling the sound that was resinating through my chin out the top of my head.
