Hello from South Carolina! Im excited to be on the forum. I was a violinist in School (4th - 12th) and played until my 20s, then took a break due to life's circumstances (and sold my 100 year old German violin). I started playing again during Covid, with a entry level student violin) and just this weekend ordered a new instrument from Fiddlershop! (Cant wait to get it!). I am an Idaho native, who relocated to SC the end of 2021. Looking forward to spending more time playing and seeing where it goes!

Welcome to the forum! I have a similar story to yours. I gave away my old German fiddle a dew years ago, only to be bitten by the fiddle bug last fall. So now, I'm a beginner in my 70s. Started completly over!

@ukulelegeek Welcome back to violin! Can you tell us about your new violin? Did you find it easy to pick it back up? I was surprised that I still have many songs memorized, and still have my vibrato. I need to commit to practicing more, I work from home, so I dont really have any excuses! I usually play a few minutes each day, but I need to really practice and focus on strengthening my skills.
