I would like to let all my new friends here know about the two summer music camps that I will be attending. They are both dedicated to the preservation of the Western Swing style music.

Thanks for this post. We have a section for upcoming events. cdennyb gets upset when people choose the wrong area too.

well, I dont exactly get "upset". I'd call it more like frustrated since the upcoming events section has regional areas so there's some kind of organization to the postings.
If you just throw all the events together, everyone would have to look thru all the listings and maybe get discouraged to look at all since they're only interested in a particular venue and it might be in their neighborhood or across the world.
Good job though FM reminding everyone to post in your area region of interest, not just start another topic.
