Singers and pipers are held in high esteem at pub sessions, in this one they are an actuàl band but it gives a real flavour, unlike in Dublin.

Where's the fiddler?

My hat's off to ANYONE who can recite that fast, let alone sing it without getting tongue-tied!

I can barely play it - love it.

Nice, Thank you!

good stuff @stringy !  this is the one we go to whenever we can.. the area has one more of these type places but a little smaller and does kind of an open mic different performers.  both have sessions but never been.   its been since last year now since weve went to eat and listen..  thanks for bringing up its about time for another visit..  6:00 or so in starts the whiskey.   they do alot of the audience participation type pub songs with the trad fiddle tunes mixed in.  excellent food too.

greg brilliant stuff, I absolutely love star of the county down, looks a great place for a drink and a tune.

Emily hadny heard of that fiddle day to be honest but I read the reviews and it looks excellent, wish I could go it looks  great fun, couldnt afford to fly over for a couple of days though;( liverpool to cork would cost about two hundred quid.
