Here is a MIDI I wrote for myself, but thought it might help someone beginning.
This is the same scale as the first part of Fiddlerman's Notes on the G-String sheet music. (I didn't write this using the same notes though, I needed something slower.)
It didn't have a MIDI I could find and I know some people do use the MIDI for practice.
There are two bars of silence in the beginning so you can grab your bow and fiddle before it starts. If you run a metronome in the program it counts off two bars in 4/4 time.
In TablEdit (or any software similar) You can set the metronome and rate of speed to however you like. I wrote it in whole notes so I could match intonation, and practice longer bow strokes while memorizing the fingerings in first position.
If anyone wants, I can put the basic notes for the other three strings in the same form up here.

That link should work – I hope -
It turns out Microsoft lets you store stuff and share it online with something called Skydrive. I think the only way to see it though is to download it.
On "Cheap eBay violins" … Just tell people they are like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. With a little love, and some practice, they too can be made beautiful.

Quicktime player should open the file for everyone, it's what this site forces you to download to play videos and MIDI files here.
I see where you're coming from though.
Lets hope the new forum is slow internet friendly. (I feel for those who are slow, it's been a long time, but I remember what it used to be like.)
I will stick to links if people find the files helpful in the future. Sorry to muck up the other two posts so badly. Thank you for deleting them!
