It's a very pretty song.ย
I'm quite sure I've never heard of the artist before, but the tune sounded very familiar for some reason. I was really surprised when I could find nothing for it online.
My transcription skills aren't up to a piece like that, but from trying to sound out the main melody line, I'd say it (the main melody, not the song) starts on an A, and is in the key of G.ย It has an F#, but not C#.ย I was able to pick out 2-3 measures, but that's as far as I got.
Good luck with the hunt for the sheet music.

I have found sheet music for 2 Green Pastures! One is NOT the same song and the other was written by Emmy Lou Harris so is probably not the same song (though her's is sad) The Internet had many comments that there is No sheet music available for the song Green Pastures by Phuong Medley. There are obviously many people wanting it! There are piano tutorials for it on video, so maybe there is a violin tutorial, that you can watch and learn from! It is a beautiful song!

@charles, as soon it started playing, I instantly recognized it, it's the over-memed piece YouTubers play to exaggerate something really sad!ย
@alrikh, I figured it out by ear a few seconds after listening, and it isn't in a hard key, but you can add positions and slides to jazz it up.
Here's something rough I've put together so far on Musescore: https://musescore.com/user/970.....es/4524516 (I know it's not very accurate :P, I'm not even sure if it's in 3/4)
So.
Yep.

ย Well doneย @~rea - thank you for doing that !
I seriously recommend not copyingย my mistakes. D'oh -ย
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

@~Rea, if that's where I recognized it from, it's seriously overused. I don't watch much of the kind of stuff on Youtube that would have somebody else's music as background.
Thanks for the Musescore sheet music.ย Don't ask me where I got the stuff about it being in G. You're obviously correct about it being in C. I tried listening to it for the time signature, but I'm not good with those at all.

~Rea, I can pick out songs that I hear and like tolerably well (it helps a lot to find a good note to start on, otherwise you end up with endless odd ones), but transcribing it is another matter. Pitch I could do, but whenever I try and "measure" in my head how long a note is taking, everything falls apart.
Like everything else, it's a learnable skill that will get decent with practice. Since Musescore is highly user-hostile when it comes to duration, though, I'm sure you glad you tackled the project for us.

Yes, I agree, rhythm is quite difficult to nail down at the start. And I guess it doesn't really matter which key you're in, as long as you still have the same spacings between notes, so maybe your transcription in the key of G might have been right ๐
(I should really finish the piece, huh...)
Ok I'm going to take a leap of faith and say I'm going to finish it by the end of my day ๐ (It should encourage me)

It's been updated and I've adjusted a bit, but still not finished.ย
@Alrikh, if you're really keen for the whole piece, I'll keep working on it.
ย
Pffft me with my high goals ๐

I don't know whether Alrikh wants the whole thing, but I do ๐ . Don't forget that with MuseScore it's easy to copy and paste large chunks of the song, so once you get to a repeat of any part, you don't have to write anything, just copy and paste the earlier section. I think you've got most of it (75% or so) already.
One comment: if you'll label it as being violin, the Musescore site will play it with something that sounds rather like a violin, rather than that fairly pathetic synthesizer sound they default to. It doesn't do that on the copy you have on your computer, unfortunately, but the violin sound on the web pages is a distinct improvement.
