ok so I probably shouldn't have started a whole new thread for this, but i couldn't help but tell someone (aka. you reading this) that for the first time today I managed to hit all the notes on my G and D scale without trying (at least at the end). Actually i think its partly because i was attempting to read music that i hit them. I have a problem of over thinking things sometimes and when i focus on another task it suddenly just clicks. I finally decided to bust out my elements 2000 that i bought when i got my violin and see if i could play some stuff just to mix it up. not only was i able to hit the major scale on the g string but also on my D string! I left on a high note and didn't try the A or the E yet. Hopefully I'll be able to do it enough to post a video soon for ya'll to critique me. Without you guy's I wouldn't be as far as i am now!
( i thought I'd try out the new poll feature as well)

Oh congratulations. I know that's very exciting. I found A and D were easiest for me. E was pretty easy too. G took some getting used to. Now I am working on a couple of songs with a high 3 on the D string and can really feel the stretch getting there.
Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

thanks guys Well I knew there had to be something to go along with my sucess. a freak accident and i broke my chin rest...thankfully the violin is safe. lol. but some gorilla glue( no glue on the violin, i was extra careful and still have cloth covering it until its fully set) and I'll be ready to rock and roll once more, and wait for my replacement chin rest to arrive. lol. oops....good thing i wanted a new one anyways hehehe.

It's amazing to suddenly be able to consistently hit notes! makes me feel like so proud and just makes practicing that much more enjoyable and gives me so much more motivation to keep at it
