New Teacher
I had to change teachers. My old one is no longer teaching.

Of course, that's apart of being your own best friend, you have to take care of yourself.

When you get really good you can get some of that money back teaching on the side. Glad your safe brother.

Not to derail the thread but I wish I could find an instructor around here if only to give some occasional guidance.

Apparently adults are only supposed to play guitar and violin instruction is just to prepare children for orchestral playing. I say that sarcastically but it is the prevailing attitude around here.

If the implication is that somewhere (wherever "here" is) you can find a teacher genuinely qualified to prepare kids for orchestral playing, then go for it - as an adult you should be self-motivated and only need the teacher for guidance and correction. The way a kid holds the bow is the same way an adult holds the bow. However, I realise that your sarcasm means that the chances are slim.
