@damfino I agree...keeping each other motivated.... and you've had your wrist issues...and tooth and lots of baby birds.
I had a crazy long long stint of work (for a good cause)... but I am back on track. I don't know what possessed me to take to classes this semester to finish an AA degree and move on to State university.
And then all this trail running.... tuckers out an old gal. ha ha...
Anyway... I know we both will get motivated and get our Mings singing...
Good luck to all... this is what we need a lot of... violin talk, play, practice and projects. That is one of the things that makes this forum so special.....

I don’t have lessons or a teacher but I do have a routine and a plan. I always start with scales and variations to scales ( patterns, slurs, and ritmes), finger movements on different strings and string crossing. After that I play an older tune and practice a new tune, every day another part, in small pieces.
I have enough discipline and play every day but maybe the learning process is slower without a teacher. It doesn’t mind for me, I have so much fun in learning!
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about dancing in the rain!!
