If you have time on Wednesday evening, you might enjoy watching NOVA Universe Revealed on PBS. The show starts at 9pm EST. I'm in episodes 1 and 3.

My niece, an assistant professor in the dept of astronomy at the University of California - Berkeley. When they show the names, they usually do, she is Courtney D…

Remember the lunar module that was made a lot of years ago and they had students from high schools at the Jet Propulsion Labs helping out? Courtney was one of them and was a main speaker for the school kids.

So, if you are interested, you might want to check it out.

Wow, it's a small world. I'm not able to watch the video right now, but I know Courtney! Funny to randomly discover that I also know her aunt via a web forum.

@AndrewH

The link isn’t a video. It is to a PBS site about the show. My brother included it in the email he sent.

PM me how how you know Courtney! That is so funny!

@Mouse -

My PBS is showing these Nova episodes airing at 9pm EST.

Tonight (Wed) is S48 Ep17 - Nova Universe Revealed: Age of the Stars

11/3 is S48 Ep18 - Nova Universe Revealed: Milky Way

Not showing Ep19 coming up, yet.

So, your Niece will be in Ep17 and then Ep19 - on the 10th, right?

Got 'em set to record in case I get side-tracked. 🎃

@ELCBK According to my DISH guide, tonight at 9 PM EST, for NOVA, it is S48 (meaning 48th year of NOVA, and Ep 15 (meaning 15th new episode of NOVA this year). I am not sure if your TV provider is correct with its episode 17 of NOVA tonight or my Dish guide info is correct.

I would go with NOVA's part 1 of 5, part 2 of 5, part 3 of 5, etc, of NOVA Universe Revealed's parts and part titles, instead of the network providers' guide description of NOVA series 48 and episode for that year since they are not the same with each network provider's description.

Plus, use the titles of each part,

Universe Realed: Age of Stars, which is Part 1 and Universe Revealed: Alien Worlds, which is Part 3.

Here you go. Here is a link that shows all parts of this 5 part series.

NOVA Universe Revealed Episodes

Courtney will be in episodes 1 and 3. Not sure how long she will be in each episode, but she is a very good speaker.

The title of part 1 is Age of Stars

The title of part 3 is Alien Worlds

Tonight, Oct 27, is part 1 of this 5 part series, Courtney is supposed to be in this one. Then she will be in Part 3. I can't scroll far enough ahead to catch part 3 to set that recording yet. It will be November 10 (Alien Worlds), see link above.

Keep in mind, PBS repeats over and over at different times during the week, so you may find it at other times, also. Other times episode 1 will appear: 10/28 at 1 AM est, again on 10/28 at 4 PM est, 10/29 at 5 AM est, 11/1 at 1:00 AM,

NOVA Universe Revealed, is a 5 part series on NOVA. Courtney is in part 1 Universe Revealed: Age of the Stars , and part 3, NOVA Universe Revealed: Alien Worlds. She is an excellent speaker. She has been since her school days.

I hope this clears up any confusion.
