Perhaps the problem is mine since I am using a rather old Apple Mac. I see a large box labelled "paragraph," but when I press it I only get headings of various sizes. What is the proper method of starting a new paragraph here? I even thought of running the space bar to the right, which had no effect. Thank you.

Hmmm... I had never considered that @Irv - I usually just press the return key, which gives not just a new-line but also an additional empty-line like this
Now I'm here having pressed "return" / "Enter"
I'm not sure about the use of the word "paragraph" - it really seems to be a "font-size" selection of the various possible "headings", with the default being the so-called "paragraph-font"
It seems to me, just to be a way of selecting different sized fonts and nothing more
although, having just done that on one selected word in the above line, the entire line changed font-size, not just the one word I had selected....
🙂 I wouldn't worry overly much about it !
This, for your interest was done under Chrome on Windows....
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

Already tried the return key and it was a no-go. It sounds like the problem lies in the Apple software I am using. I will try an i-Pad next. If not, I may resort to {New Paragraph Here}.

My Mac only has a return key.
I just found that I can use the down and left cursor buttons to create a paragraph. Problem solved. Thanks all for your efforts.
